TAKING GRADUATE Level COURSES and
Fast Track
Have you considered taking graduate level courses while completing your bachelor’s degree? Whether you are interested in grad school or not, there are many benefits.
- More course options to develop skills in your area of interest
- Enroll in smaller classes with more opportunities to interact with your professor
- Differentiates you in a competitive job market
- Reduces the time/cost of a non-thesis Master’s degree
- Reduces your course load during a thesis-based Masters or PhD
- Graduate courses taken as an undergraduate student are charged at the (lower) undergraduate tuition rate
Taking graduate courses during your bachelor’s can give you a head start, but does not commit you to going to grad school.
The Mechanical Engineering Fast Track program allows the graduate level courses you take while completing your bachelor’s degree to count toward both your undergraduate and graduate degrees at UTD.
More information about the Fast Track program and taking graduate-level courses is available here.
